The MAPRx Coalition raised concerns about the proposed changes to the Medicare prescription drug benefit program, which CMS issued in a “Draft Call Letter” on February 1, 2017. The draft letter included proposed changes for MA Capitation Rates, Part C and Part D Payment Policies, and the 2018 Call Letter. MAPRx commented on alternative ways to improve the Medicare program with a focus on improving beneficiary access (with a focus on out-of-pocket expenditures), beneficiary coverage, and communication/transparency.
